A journey back to the source.
Fado began with a journey north, to Póvoa de Lanhoso, in search of Portuguese filigree craftsmanship.
There, our founder found families, not factories: generations of artisans keeping a centuries-old craft alive by hand. She chose one of Póvoa’s oldest family workshops for the way it preserves the traditional Heart of Viana — handmade, curved and full of depth.
That connection is at the heart of Fado. We bring Portuguese jewelry into everyday life, so the traditions we inherit can become part of the stories we make.

A tradition that takes time.
Our filigree pieces are made by Portuguese artisans using techniques passed down through generations. Delicate threads, intricate patterns and sculptural forms give this craft its unmistakable character.
Creating a batch of Heart of Viana earrings can take months. We value that time, and the knowledge and care held in every detail.
